Day 815 - Test ride to the Cape of Good Hope

It finally happened. The bikes are back together in one piece, they look like they did before, there are no left-over bolts and they actually started up at once when pushing the ignition button. So far so good. But to make sure that we didn’t miss anything that should have been fixed we took a test ride around the most south-western wedge of the country – the Cape Peninsula – before stacking all of our gear back onto the bikes and checking out of our guest house. It was a beautiful day, we came by lots of nice places saw some really cute penguines and the bikes are running smoothly like never before.

I think we’re finally ready to hit the road and start our next adventure.

Tag 815 - Testfahrt zum Kap der Guten Hoffnung

Es ist vollbracht! Beide Motorräder sind wieder in einem Stück, sie sehen aus wie Motorräder aussehen sollten, es sind keine Schrauben übergeblieben und sie sind sogar gleich beim ersten Mal angesprungen. Soweit so gut. Um sicher zu gehen, dass wir auch wirklich nichts vergessen haben, haben wir eine Testfahrt um den süd-westlichsten Zipfel des Landes – die Cape Peninsula – gemacht bevor wir wieder all unseren Krempel auf die Bikes stapeln und aus unserem Guesthouse auschecken. Es war ein herrlicher Tag, wir sind an super schönen Ecken vorbei gekommen, haben total niedliche Pinguine gesehen und die Maschinen laufen besser denn je.

Ich glaub wir sind jetzt tatsächlich bereit wieder loszurollen und uns in unser nächstes Abenteuer zu stürzen.
